We had a great shoot yesterday with male lifestyle model Anthony Robinson, who hired us to update his portfolio and compcards.
I drew my inspiration for this shot from a photo I saw in National Geographic. Of course I didn’t execute this type of photo as well as I did 4 years later when I shot blackface performer Shirley Q. Liquor. In 2007 I had lenses that could let in 4x more light than the lenses I had in 2003, allowing me to make much sharper photos in low light.
I had a lot of fun with this shoot… it took a little bit of time getting the dress and the hair just right. I used two light for this shot, a beauty dish right above the camera and a second light illuminating the white wall behind her.
If you’re wondering what to do for dinner tonight, check out the Edge Alliance’s Dining Out for Life event. I shot the campaign for this annual event last year, please click here to see more photos and a behind the scenes video.
If you have a followed my blog regularly I am sure you have seen model Adem A. I figured I would share some frames with you that have a few more layers this time.
