I worked together with Marcus Matteo to come up with his evocative album artwork for his new single ‘I don’t wanna go to work today.’ Most of it was his idea…. but my contribution was tweaking the pose and adding the keys. All in all Im really happy with the final results.

Before the repatriation of my friend Vic Picolotto to his native Australia, to work for hairdressing giant Tracey Hughes Education, we decided to get in a few headshot shoots while we still could!

I decided to use a variety of hard light sources to sculpt the light for these portraits. However most of the hair is light from above and behind with a softbox.

Here’s a brief tease for pictures from a recent shoot showcasing hair and makeup featured at the America’s Beauty Show and fashion by Australian Project Runway winner Anthony Capon.

I read on another photo blog a few months ago that you could cut random lines into a piece of cardboard and use it to cast unplanned shadows on a wall by shining light through it. I unwittingly put my own spin on it when I decided to try cutting narrow slits into a piece of cinefoil (black foil) with a box cutter.
