At the end of last month I took a few days to explore a part of the country I had never seen been. Although I had been to two Hawaiian islands before, this was my first trip to the Big Island, and it was bigger than I expected. Circumnavigating the volcanic isle took hours and the winding roads lead to long hikes like the one to a green sand beach and a midnight treacherous trek across a rocky expanse that led to an expansion on our 50th state.
A short video I made introducing Chicago singer songwriter Marcus Matteo was just released prior to the upcoming release of ‘MPFREE,’ his first collection of original music. The video features the intro track to ‘MPFREE’ called ‘Sincerely……Marcus Matteo’, a short but sweet acapella number inviting you into the world of Marcus Matteo.
Recently, B Creative Bridal, part of B Creative Talent, asked me to shoot advertising photos for the launch of their website. Because I was tasked with shooting a web commercial, lifestyle stills and beauty headshots of three different couples and one wedding party on location in the span of ten hours, I asked my friend Jeff Haynes to come and lend a hand. He shot the headshots, while I worked on the behind-the-scenes video and the lifestyle photos. Thank god he was there, because there was no way one person could shoot everything.
For the fourth time in my career, I took photos previewing Chicago’s Air and Water Show and for the third time I flew with the Lima Lima Flight Team. Their World War II era military trainers gave us quite a ride, pulling over 4 Gs.
Ever since I shot Paul Oakley Stoval & Brad Simmons performing at the Pritzger Pavilion in Chicago, I have been humming their songs. So you know I had to share them with you now that they are you youtube.
