Australian master hair stylist Vic Picolotto of Tracey Hughes Education, asked me to work with him to create these colorful portraits. Hair, make-up, styling and the background all came together to create these themed images.
Before the repatriation of my friend Vic Picolotto to his native Australia, to work for hairdressing giant Tracey Hughes Education, we decided to get in a few headshot shoots while we still could!
I decided to use a variety of hard light sources to sculpt the light for these portraits. However most of the hair is light from above and behind with a softbox.
Ever since May when I shot this campaign for the AIDS Foundation of Chicago, I have been waiting with great anticipation for the day to come when I could share it with you! Good thing for me the sports lifestyle ads, designed by the talented graphic designer Dan Paterno started running this week! Soon you’ll see them on Buses, on the web and in magazines.
