Food photography used to not be my thing. After shooting several restaurant review photos, I leaned how much fun it can be to make colorful compositions out of bite sized morsels and plates of picturesque protein.

I photographed the Rolling Stones last night in Chicago. I rarely get asked to go to concerts and the last group I captured was AC/DC back when Bush was still the president. At this rate Macklemore will have to pop tags for 30 years before I see him through my viewfinder.
The Blackhawks shot down the Redwings last night and they knocked the dust off of my wings. It has been months since I shot a NHL game and I was happy to find that shooting hockey was like riding a bicycle. I was telling another photographer last night that it took me a few years to figure out how to shoot the game. Once I figured out it was like shooting soccer, but you follow the puck and you follow from time to time where the puck was going, it got a lot easier.
I recently worked with personal trainer Michael Elder to create new images for his online marketing. This was our second shoot and I really enjoyed trying out some new lighting setups to really make his pictures pop!
