Photographer John Gress created a series of photos for Chicago guitar player headshots for musician Jonah Brooks. The shoot started off with a close-up profile and then they shot a few images on a white background with Brooks’ guitar.

I worked together with Marcus Matteo to come up with his evocative album artwork for his new single ‘I don’t wanna go to work today.’ Most of it was his idea…. but my contribution was tweaking the pose and adding the keys. All in all Im really happy with the final results.

Doing this shoot for Megan, a singer originally from Indiana now residing in Chicago, was a welcome departure from my norm and required a lot of imaginative thought, knowing that what I was shooting would be combined later with graphics to form the final image.
