Chicago Fitness Photographer Headshots: Model Jamal Akakpo

Chicago Fitness Model Jamal Akakpo poses for his headshots

Chicago Fitness Photographer: Often times when I do a shoot I will alternate between different lighting approaches, and this shoot with fitness model Jamal Akakpo was no exception.

For the image above, I used a total of four light to sculpt the light to highlight different parts of the models form and apparel.

I used a sidelight through a large softbox as my mail light for this photo and added a second light behind the camera to fill in the shadows.

To create this striking portrait I used three Kino Flo florescent video light fixtures, one directly overhead and one over each shoulder.
