At the end of winter, on a day when the temperature didn’t reach 10 degrees, I needed to create an ad campaign to promote an organization that competes in summertime athletic events to raise money for charity. Even though it was sunny on the day of our shoot, if I dared take the athletes on location, in no time at all it would have resulted in frostbite and frozen pained expressions.Read details
One of my favorite techniques is to use CTO filters (plastic gels that make neutral light look like old fashioned light bulbs) on my lights so that when I tell the camera to compensate for their warmth, the camera makes the rest of the world look blue.Read details
