Chicago Gay Wedding Photographer: St. Luke’s Lutheran Church’s wood beam ceiling and gothic inspired century old interior provided a moving venue for the wedding of Pastor Erik and Kerry. Friends, family and Erik’s congregation came together to celebrate their summer nuptials inside the Logan Square church.
As dusk fell upon the Redfield Estate in Glenview, Illinois, Arlyn & China met beneath a Gazebo on the grounds of the historic landmark. After their triumphant exit from their ceremony, the couple and their guests share cocktails outside the 1856 Kennicott House before retiring inside for their reception. Following dinner, the newly weds shared their first dance in the estate’s outdoor pavilion.
Frank & Brock’s ceremony affected me like no other, it was the last gay wedding I attended before my own. Given the future that faced me only weeks later, seeing the moments of the evening unfold were emotional to say the least, as I saw several parallels between my relationship and theirs. The Chicago couple exchanged their vows before family and friends at the Farmhouse, in Evanston, which was also the venue for the reception that followed.
Illinois same-sex wedding photographer: Greg & Mike’s sunset wedding at Navy Pier was one of the more scenic weddings I have captured in some time. The architecture of the pier and the backdrop of the city’s skyline framed the celebratory evening, which was capped off by captivating Sway Chicago and Fireworks over Lake Michigan.
