Editorial Portrait Photography: NFL Rookie Premiere for Panini America

Editorial Portrait Photography: Things have sort of come full circle….. when I was a teenager my best friend introduced me to his family past time, meeting professional athletes and getting their autograph. This kind of went hand in hand with collecting trading cards. Both of which were my primary hobby until I fell in love with photography.

A little more than 20 years later I found myself creating portraits of the top NFL draft pics for their rookie football cards.

Fired: No love lost on Bears Smith

Its hard to believe that Lovie Smith was the coach of the Bears during my entire tenure working in Chicago. Ive seen them choke in regular games and the Super Bowl. I’ve seen them win too, but I don’t know anyone who thought they were a powerhouse as it seems their quarterbacks of late have been sacked more times than they have thrown touchdown passes.

Peyton Manning’s arm looks fine

Manning didn’t throw any deep passes in his first drive of the preseason Thursday night at Soldier Field in Chicago, but he threw well enough to drive the Broncos down the field before the drive ended when a pass over the middle was deflected and intercepted.
