I recently did a head shot shoot in my Chicago studio with singer and actor Brian-Alwyn Newland.

Newland said, “John Gress is an amazing photographer, with a great eye behind the camera. His sociable personality gives you no fear to have the greatest confidence in front of the camera! A great experience and even greater photographs”

Chicago Head shot Photographer — "On this particular frame I love the varied use of lighting. It really shows (my) features as if (I) would be standing beside you," explained Brian-Alwyn Newland.

I used a strip box from below to give this interesting affect... you can see it in the catch lights. "This wonderful shot because the main picture for the new single by The Brian-Alwyn "Closed Door" available on iTunes," said Brian-Alwyn Newland.
