CHICAGO: ADVANCED LIGHTING WORKSHOP

The advanced lighting workshops that take place in my Chicago studio twice a year are intentionally limited to only five photographers to create a highly collaborative and immersive learning experience. Over two full days, we’ll work together recreating inspiration images, experimenting with advanced lighting techniques, and solving creative challenges in real time while photographing professional models.

Throughout the workshop, attendees actively participate in shaping the learning experience by taking turns selecting lighting concepts, inspiration images, and techniques they want to explore. We’ll work through advanced setups involving multiple lights, modifiers, colored light, ratios, and light placement while discussing how small adjustments affect the final image.

Rather than simply following diagrams, the goal is to understand how and why the light works so you can confidently adapt the techniques to your own style and photography. Throughout the weekend, I’ll also guide the group through some of my most advanced lighting setups while explaining the thought process and problem solving behind each image.
