By Jack McCarthySpecial to the TribuneIt’s a new partnership up front but Fire forwards Chris Rolfe and Sherjill MacDonald already are growing comfortable together.
Each scored in Saturday night’s 2-1 victory over the New England Revolution. Of more importance, though, they’re constructing a working relationship that really could pay off in the regular season’s final 10 games.
“We’re playing really well together and it’s only going to get better,” said Rolfe, who collected his fourth goal in four games and now has 41 for his Fire career. “We’ve had 21/2 games together and two weeks of training and I love the way he plays.” …Read More
