Chicago Fitness Model Isaac McKinley
We started off our headshot photoshoot with Chicago Fitness Model Isaac McKinley doing a 4 light look that was a mix of hard and soft light modifiers on Profoto D1 Air 500 Monolights. The main light was a hard source created by a CheetahStand 48″ RiceBowl RB-120 Deep Para
with their Chopstick zooming rod, which was gelled straw yellow and I placed a black flag from a Matthews 24″ x 36″ RoadRags II Kit
between the light and the model to darken his body from the neck down. Then I placed a 60-inch Photek Softlighter
overhead with a blue gel inside. Over his left shoulder was a Profoto RFi 36-Inch Octabox
. I also used a 4th D1 with a red gel and bounced it off of a wall at very low power and its not having much of an affect on the lighting.
For this headshot of Isaac I used the CheetahStand 48″ RiceBowl RB-120 Deep Para on the right, which bounced off of a white wall on my left. Then I used the 60-inch Photek Softlighter again overhead as a hair light.
Once again the main light for the photo below was a hard source created by a CheetahStand 48″ RiceBowl RB-120 Deep Para with their Chopstick zooming rod. The I bounced a second light off the ceiling to fill the shot.
Just out of the frame on the left I used the CheetahStand 48″ RiceBowl RB-120 Deep Para with their Chopstick zooming rod to focus the light on his face, then the beam naturally fell off from there.
