Gay Wedding Photography: Brian & Byron at Salvage One in Chicago

Gay wedding photography: Brian & Byron were married at Salvage One, an event space in Chicago.

Their friend, Thomas Cantey, became a Universal Life minister just so he could preside over the occasion.

In 2005 the couple met through the social networking site Friendster, when Brian, who became fascinated with trains as a toddler and wrote a paper in college on British railway policy, searched for men who were interested in “public transit.” Byron’s name was the first to pop up. I’m sure that was more productive than checking out @CTAhotties on Instagram.

The morning after their wedding, the couple and gues continued the festivities on a 3 hour tour of Chicago aboard a chartered CTA ‘L’ train.

To learn more about the couple please check out this article from the New York Times.

Some of the photos below are by Tasos Katapodis who worked with me as a second photographer for the event.
